Victory Over Trinidad is the First Win of the Season for Men's Soccer

The Eastern Arizona men's soccer team faced off against Trinidad State College at home on August 22nd. The game kicked off at a fast pace with multiple chances on the net by Ronardo Burgher, Bruno Hurtado Antelo, and Joao Martins Da Silva. 19 minutes into the first half a red card was issued causing the Monsters to be a man down for the remainder of the game. The game remained deadlocked with the Monsters providing pressure and several opportunities until 34:48 into the first half when Ronardo Burgher made a solo run into the box drawing a penalty kick. Burgher put the Monsters on the board 1-0. Back-and-forth action continued until Anthony Berrios found Bruno Hurtado Antelo who slipped the ball up the field with a breakaway to Leo Passos Aquino for the second goal of the match.

In the second half, the Monsters found their momentum, and a quick combination play finished with goalkeeper Guilherme Palacio finding Leonardo Passos Aquino behind the line for the 3rd goal of the night.
