Lady Monsters Fall in Penalty Kicks to Cochise in Region I Semifinal

THATCHER, Ariz. — October 29, 2025 — The Eastern Arizona College women's soccer team saw its impressive season come to a heartbreaking close Wednesday evening, falling to Cochise College in penalty kicks after two hard-fought overtime periods in the Region I Semifinal match.

After 110 minutes of intense play, the match remained deadlocked, sending the game to penalty kicks where Cochise edged Eastern 5–4 to advance.

The Lady Monsters showcased their trademark grit and teamwork throughout the match, creating several scoring opportunities and holding strong defensively against a skilled Cochise offense. Despite the result, Eastern closed out a stellar season with a 13-3-2 overall record and a 7-2-1 mark in conference play.

The Lady Monsters' run included multiple shutouts, key conference victories, and standout individual performances that helped establish Eastern Arizona as one of the top programs in the region. Go Monsters!
