EAC Women's Basketball Team Headed to The Final Four of the NJCAA National Championship Tournament

LAKE CHARLES, LA. — Eastern Arizona College women's basketball is headed back to the NJCAA Final Four for the third straight season after a composed and convincing 64–56 win over College of Southern Idaho on Saturday afternoon at Townsley Arena. The Gila Monsters controlled the pace from the start, winning three of four quarters and using defensive pressure to generate 20 points off CSI turnovers, a key separator in a tight postseason matchup .

Esmeralda Enriquez delivered another signature tournament performance, leading all scorers with 24 points on 10‑for‑21 shooting while adding five rebounds and five steals to fuel EAC on both ends of the floor. Danaeja Romero- Ah Sam provided a major lift off the bench with 15 points, including three timely three‑pointers that kept momentum firmly on EAC's side. Lucia Auza steadied the offense with five assists and six points, helping the Monsters maintain rhythm against CSI's pressure.

EAC's depth and balance showed throughout the afternoon, with nine players contributing to the scoring column and the team shooting 42.6 percent from the field while holding CSI to 41.8 percent . The Monsters also won the rebounding battle 30–26 and knocked down 87.5 percent of their free throws, a steadying factor late in the game. CSI's Ashley Garner posted an 18‑point, 11‑rebound double‑double, but EAC's defensive rotations and late‑game execution kept the Golden Eagles from mounting a final push.

With the win, Eastern Arizona advances to Monday's national semifinal, where the Monsters will face #6 Trinity Valley Community College . Tipoff is set for 6:15 PM CT / 4:15 PM MST. The appearance marks EAC's third consecutive trip to the Final Four, a testament to the program's consistency and postseason toughness as they continue their pursuit of a national championship.
