The Eastern Arizona College men's soccer team played three matches last week, starting on the road and closing at home.
The Monsters opened on Tuesday, August 26, with a 4-1 win over UDA Las Cruces in New Mexico. Davi Barrios scored twice, while Angel Moreno recorded two assists. Cristian Martinez and Dusan Cooper added the other goals.
The next day in Snyder, Texas, Eastern fell 0-6 to Western Texas despite seven saves from goalkeeper Bruno Santos.
The Monsters returned home Saturday to host Central Wyoming. Eastern struck first when Axel Martinez found Ryuki Kato, who crossed the ball into the box for Izan Llinas to score. Goalkeeper Caio Tazinazzo made 10 saves, but Central Wyoming evened the match in the second half. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Eastern will have a break before hosting El Paso Locomotives on Saturday, September 6, at 7 p.m.
