Yap Wins Individual Title, Monsters Finish Sixth at OUAZ Fall Invitational

The Eastern Arizona College men's golf team turned in an impressive showing at the OUAZ Fall Invitational, finishing 6th overall after two days of competition hosted by Ottawa University Arizona.

The Monsters battled through playing 36 holes over nearly 14 hours, and ended the first day in 7th as a team. Freshmen Alexander Yap and Pavel Casas led the charge early, holding first and second place after the opening rounds.

EAC rallied on day two to move up a spot in the standings, closing out the tournament in 6th place. Yap maintained his momentum to capture first place overall, finishing nine under par (-9), while Casas earned fourth place with a three-under (-3) performance. They look forward to their next tournament the NJCAA National Preview on October 29-31. Go Monsters!
