EAC Golf Finishes Fourth at Glendale Community College Tournament
The Eastern Arizona College golf team put forth a competitive effort at the Glendale Community College Tournament, securing a fourth-place finish with a team score of +35 over two days of play.
The Gila Monsters opened the tournament with a +22 on day one before improving their score on day two with a +13, showcasing resilience and determination.
Leading the charge for EAC was Fernando Jimenez, who delivered a strong performance, finishing in 10th place with a +5. Dharit Iemkanitchat followed closely behind, securing a 14th-place finish with a +9. Adrian Raya shot a +10 to claim 18th place, while Derek McCoy finished just behind at +11 in 19th place. Rounding out the team, Cody Moore posted a +20, finishing in 31st place.
Despite falling short of their ultimate goal, the Gila Monsters remain optimistic and focused on improvement. "Unfortunately, not every tournament goes the way we would hope, but I'm hoping we can pick it up and come back playing better golf at the South Mountain Spring Tournament," Head Coach Cabazes stated.
EAC will have an opportunity to bounce back when they compete at the South Mountain Spring Tournament, hosted at Dobson Ranch Golf Course, on March 24-25. Let's Go Monsters!
