EAC Baseball Falls in Weekend Series to Central Arizona

The Eastern Arizona College baseball team hosted Central Arizona College this weekend but ran into one of the NJCAA's toughest lineups, dropping all three games of the series.

Game 1 – CAC 12, EAC 0

Central Arizona opened the series with a 12–0 win, holding the Gila Monsters to just two hits. Darren Daves led EAC offensively, finishing 2-for-3 at the plate. On the mound, Caleb Rosado worked 5.1 innings and struck out five before handing the ball off to Lucas Dykstra, who closed the final two outs.

Game 2 – CAC 11, EAC 0

Game two followed a similar pattern, with the Vaqueros taking an 11–0 victory. Eastern Arizona collected three hits—coming from Will Applegate and Izzy Kaho'okele Diaz, who recorded two hits on the day. Jorge Roman, Tristan Fielder, and Sebastian Orozco handled pitching duties, combining for five strikeouts across seven innings.

Game 3 – CAC 14, EAC 3

Eastern Arizona showed more offensive life in the finale, plating three runs in a 14–3 loss. Ben Simmons sparked the lineup with a 2-for-2 performance and two RBI, while Kayne Carlos added an RBI single. Tristan Fielder and Gunnar Pedersen each scored a run, and the pitching staff of Shaveh Sarono, Nolan Matejcek, and Grant McMeekin combined for five strikeouts.
