EAC Basketball Sweeps College of Southern Nevada at Home
The Eastern Arizona College men's and women's basketball programs delivered dominant performances Wednesday night as they hosted the visiting College of Southern Nevada Coyotes, resulting in one runaway victory and one overtime thriller inside Guitteau Gymnasium.
Women's Basketball | EAC 121, CSN 58
The Women's team put on an offensive showcase, rolling to a 121–58 victory behind a balanced and explosive scoring effort.
Esmeralda Enriquez paced the Gila Monsters with 23 points, leading a unit that saw multiple players fill every column of the stat sheet. Lucia Auza was a force on both ends, finishing with 11 points and a team-high 8 rebounds. Stephany Goncalves orchestrated the offense with precision, dishing out 9 assists while adding 6 rebounds of her own.
Danaeja Romero-Ah Sam continued her strong season with 21 points, attacking the basket relentlessly throughout the night. Navae Guidry added 15 points and 6 rebounds, while Eanae Dagons turned in one of the most complete performances of the game—12 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists.
The dominant win marks one of EAC's highest-scoring outings of the season as they continue to build momentum entering the final stretch of conference play.
Men's Basketball | EAC 79, CSN 72 (OT)
The Men's team followed with a statement win of their own, outlasting the Coyotes 79–72 in an overtime battle that had the crowd on its feet.
Kahu Treacher delivered a monster double-double, posting 19 points and an incredible 20 rebounds. Ryan Hunt matched that energy on the boards, pulling down a staggering 29 rebounds while adding 15 points in a physically demanding matchup.
Ryder Bush contributed across the board with 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists. Brad Ballinger added 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Jason Van Horn Jr. chipped in 15 points to help push the Gila Monsters over the top in overtime.
The victory showcases the grit and resilience of the EAC squad as they close in on postseason play.
