EAC Basketball Splits with Central Arizona
THATCHER, Ariz. — Eastern Arizona College hosted Central Arizona on Wednesday, Feb. 18, with the women's team once again proving why they remain ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA, while the men battled hard in a tough conference matchup.
Women's Basketball – No. 1 EAC 102, Central Arizona 65
The Lady Monsters put on a dominant performance from start to finish, securing a 102–65 victory and extending their winning streak to 25 games.
Esmeralda Enriquez led the scoring effort with 20 points and seven rebounds, while Stephany Goncalves orchestrated the offense beautifully with 10 assists. Eanae Dagons added 14 points, Phalan Sigers contributed 11, and Navae Guidry delivered a strong all-around night with 12 points and six rebounds. Danaeja Romero-Ah Sam completed the balanced scoring attack with 13 points.
The win moves EAC to 25-1 overall and keeps them unbeaten in ACCAC play.
Men's Basketball – Central Arizona 79, EAC 59
In the men's game, Eastern Arizona fought to stay within striking distance but ultimately fell 59–79 to a physical Central Arizona squad.
Ryan Hunt continued his strong play, posting 27 points and eight rebounds. Kahu Treacher was a force on the glass, pulling down 10 rebounds.
The Monsters sit at 17-10 overall and 9-3 in conference, still firmly positioned for postseason contention.

Both teams now turn their attention to a key matchup against Cochise College as conference play continues to tighten down the stretch.
