The Eastern Arizona College soccer teams turned in impressive performances on September 15 in Thatcher, earning a pair of shutout victories over the College of Southern Nevada. The women's team cruised to an 8-0 win, while the men's squad secured a 2-0 victory.

The Lady Monsters wasted no time getting on the board, as Brynn Kelly scored just three minutes into the match. She added her second goal midway through the second half, while teammates Suika Shibutani, Adysen Smith, Lucy Potter, Bryana Castro, Nanami Tanaka, and Ana Julia Carlessi also tallied goals. Carlessi finished the night with a goal and three assists, while Kayme Smith stood out with three assists of her own, setting up key scores in both halves.

EAC outshot CSN 16-5 and controlled the match from start to finish, overwhelming the Coyotes with consistent pressure on the attack.

On the men's side, Eastern Arizona broke through in the second half after a scoreless opening period. Dusan Cooper put the Gila Monsters ahead in the 49th minute off a feed from Oscar Gomez Sosa, then returned the favor by assisting Cristian Martinez in the 70th minute.

Goalkeeper Bruno Santos recorded four saves to preserve the shutout as EAC outshot CSN 12-8.

Both teams will look to carry their momentum on the road this weekend as they travel to face Mohave.
